Leslie Barr (MD)
The chef and animatrice of our balfolk is fiddler Leslie Barr, who discovered French traditional music in the 1980s and has been traveling to France to play and dance ever since. She has attended countless bals, festivals, and workshops, learning the music and dances of France's many regions, and plans to spend her eventual retirement traveling the country teaching everyone how to play cool French tunes.
Bal-folks
We have gathered an amazing group of 15 different musicians who will be playing for a varying number of dances each. This includes bagpipers, hurdy-gurdy players, accordionists, and fiddlers from all over!
Home musicians are encouraged to play along (muted, please) if you'd like to try some new tunes.
