Organizers
Kimbi Hagen (GA)
I first discovered contra dancing in 1988, my husband Karl (while contra dancing) in 2003, and contra dance organizing in 2006. Each of these paths have led to new discoveries (English! Zweifacher! Waltz!), new friends, and new opportunities to help build a global community through music and dance. Take THAT 2020!
Donna Rogall (MD)
It's coming up on my 5-years dancing birthday, since I first got to experience the joy of contra and the elegant patterns of English in the beautiful Spanish ballroom in Glen Echo, MD. I'm so glad to be able to continue to get to know and participate with even more groups of caring and talented people across the world through our persistence in continuing, despite current circumstances, through online events.
Kerry Siebein (MD)
Long time dancer and more recently dance organizer and President of the Friday Night Dancers at Glen Echo. Whether in person or online, I'd rather be dancing!
Janine Smith (MD)
Participatory music and dance enriches our lives, fills our hearts and souls to overflowing, and sustains us through all sorts of times, including 2020. I'm thrilled we're all here together to celebrate! Wheeeeee!
Claire Takemori (CA)
Life-long dancer, now caller & organizer. It makes me happy to see our folk community gather online.
Seth Tepfer (GA)
Dancing brings us together, builds bridges, strengthens our communities. My passion is to spread the joy of dance to as many people as possible. I've been dancing since 1988, calling and organizing events since 1997.
